The way the Preds are playing this series, they are 1st in line for a participation trophy. 3/4 of this series a team that has 3 waiver wire pick up Dmen are standing toe to toe with the big bad Best D core in the league. In no way shape or form am I a Hawks fan but I gotta ask you a question ,

Real Preds fans believe their team is stronger & deeper than the Avs, but have plenty of respect for what this young Avs team is doing. In fact, we saw this last year when the Preds were the lowest seed & younges team in the playoffs.

Subban has played poorly in this series. He's a really good, talented D-man, and has the ability to impact games. But he has been neutralized so far & the punch deal was bush-league frustration.

To me, the balance of this series comes down to the Preds 2nd/3rd lines & D scoring ability. We know that MacKinnon's line is going to score a goal or two. We know that the JoFA line for the Preds is going to score a goal or two. In pretty much every game. If the Preds 2nd line gets going & the D get active on the offensive end, the Avs are in trouble. If that doesn't happen, this series may go seven games.

Dirty is looking to injure and take advantage in a vulnerable position, none of that happened here. Unlike the 20 year old reference.

I always get a kick out of everyone's go to insults for Nashville. None of which are really true and most that apply just as much to the insulting home towns residents as well... you got trash in every city and every fan base.

Preds are being sucked into playing the speed game with the Avs and its not the dominant 4-0 sweep that everyone was predicting. Avs are one of the better (Top 10) teams offensive teams off the transition this year. Preds were in the bottom 10. They cant play the speed track meet game. Now if Rinne isnt trash and lock them down so the Preds can slow the game down then Avs will be in big trouble

Using 5 on 5 stats only are misleading imo. The game isn't payed 5 on 5 only. There has been plenty of 4 on 4 minutes, a large amount actuallly. 5 on 5 goals are inflated on both sides with empty net goals and pulled goalie goals. So to me me those stats are false news in this series.

The statements above I originally responded to stated that your waiver wire D men were standing up to our allstar D men....which is false. You are losing this series.

We can play the speed game just fine and to start the Lavi is being out coached is laughable.

The team is being to cute and relying on our talent alone. That will change tonight

5v5 is generlaly accepted as a true measure of a teams performance...keep on try buddy you might come up with a correct generally accepted across all of the hockey community point eventually.

I can pull up all situations too if you like, and its the same thing...but like I said 5v5 is how every stat guru in the hockey world looks at the game.

Avs are not suppose to win this series but they are now poking major flaws in the Preds current game. If they get out of these series and playing the way they are...a team like the Jets will truck the Preds.
